Lancaster City heaped praise on their supporters on Monday after their weekend's heroics ensured the win over Prescot Cables was the only game to beat the big freeze in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.
Supporters spent hours ahead of Saturday's Evo-Stik NPL First Division North clash clearing the Giant Axe pitch and public areas of snow and ice and were rewarded with a 3-1 victory as the weather wiped out the rest of the day's fixtures.
Dolly Blues Secretary Barry Newsham said: "Our band of helpers worked tirelessly. It would have been off except for those unsung heroes and we're delighted they were rewarded with a great contest from both sides and the win."
