Double act depart strugglers

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Loughborough Dynamo have parted company with joint managers Ian Robinson and Gary Sucharewycz.

Appointed in December 2015 as the successors to Scott Machin, the duo jointly managed Grantham Town before being reunited at Rainworth Miners Welfare last season.

The pair left the Nanpantan Sports Ground over the weekend after Saturday's 5-2 defeat at First Division South leaders Stafford Rangers, their ninth reverse in their last 11 league outings, left Dynamo in the relegation zone.

In a statement released on Monday morning naming Wayne Hallcro as their replacement with immediate effect, officials said the decision to part company was taken after the pair informed them in recent days that they had agreed to take over at Long Eaton United next season.

Despite indicting they were fully committed to the club's relegation battle until the end of the season, Loughborough Dynamo chairman Frank Fall told the pair he felt a change of management was necessary in the circumstances before thanking them for their efforts and wishing them both well for the future.

Fall said: “They were fully committed to continuing in the role until the end of the season, but after a week of discussions the directors felt, given the news, that it would be in the best interest for the club in the long term if they were to appoint a new manager now rather than in the summer.

"All at Loughborough Dynamo wish to thank Ian, Gary and their coaching team for their unstinting efforts in difficult circumstances, and send them all good wishes for the future."

Former Grantham Town boss and Belper assistant manager Hallcro will meet second from bottom Dynamo's players on Tuesday before taking charge for three successive home games, the first on Saturday in a relegation six pointer with fifth from bottom Daventry Town.
