Double boost for Belper Town

Belper Town striker George Milner has committed his future to the club by signing a contract til the end of the 2019/20 season.

Milner, 20, has decided to remain with the Nailers despite offers elsewhere.

The summer signing from Buxton said: “I’m pleased that this has been settled as I’m really enjoying my football at Belper.”

Meanwhile, Belper unveiled their new electronic scoreboard at The Silver X Stadium as part of their continued ground improvements.

It was in operation for the first time at Saturday’s EVO-STIK League East Division clash with Lincoln United, and is sponsored by Browns Builders Merchants Ltd of Derby.

A club spokesperson said: “The Nailers would like to thank club sponsor Jim Parlato & Jerry Wheeler directors of Browns Builders Merchants for their generosity and continued support for our club.”
