The Grimsby-based Northern Counties East League Premier Division champions with a record 108 points and Lincolnshire FA Senior Trophy winners are pictured signing a two year front of home shirt deal with local haulage, distribution and warehousing giants East Trans.
East Trans MD Paul Hickling said: "We are delighted to continue our link with Cleethorpes Town, a real success story. We employ local people and wanted to show our support to the local Non-League side."
Cleethorpes vice-chairman David Mann said: "We are absolutely thrilled to have Paul and East Trans sponsoring the club. It's the biggest deal in the club's history and shows the great strides we as a club are making, the support and faith in the club promoting them is fantastic."
Before the ceremony, Owls manager Marcus Newell hailed their incredible campaign which saw his side round off their season in the FA Vase against fellow EVO-STIK League newcomers South Shields, 4-0 winners at the national stadium in May.
Summing it up, he said: “Last year was a dream for our club but thoroughly deserved when you see the amount of work that goes in from top to bottom. The vase experience was fabulous but winning the league with a record number of points was always the highlight for me.”
He added: “We’re excited about next season but we also know it will be tough with some excellent teams in there. Our aim is to play good football and see where it takes us. “
Newell has high hopes after managing to keep the vast majority of his squad together at their home at Grimsby Borough's Bradley Football Development Centre. The only movements out so far, Brody Robertson to Alfreton Town and Leigh Hutchison to North Ferriby, and they’ve been quickly replaced by new signings Danny North, previously with Grimsby Town and Shamrock Rovers, and Ollie Donald from Bottesford Town.
