EVO-STIK League Brigg Town have announced the departure of chairman Kye Brown.

Brown, pictured at a beer festival at the First Division North's Zebras, resigned with immediate effect on Tuesday.

Officials say he will be temporarily succeeded at the Hawthorns by Craig Tock and Simon Harris. The latter returns to the Lincolnshire club after spells at Carlton Town and Grimsby Borough and the pair will act as joint chairman until the club's AGM in November.

In a statement posted on their website the club said: "Brigg Town FC are disappointed to announce that Kye Brown has stepped down from his position as club chairman with immediate effect.

"The committee would like to publicly thank Kye for the tremendous effort and commitment he has shown to the Zebras and wish him every success for the future."
