Duo holding the fort for new boss

Sutton Coldfield Town have asked coaches Phil Male and Carlos De Azevedo to hold the fort while they look for a successor to Neil Tooth at the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's Royals.

The duo are expected to take charge in the EVO-STIK NPL's top flight on Saturday for the visit of Coalville Town as the Royals continue to sift through more than a dozen applications they've already received for their vacant managerial post at Coles Lane.

The Royals officially launched the hunt for a new manager on Monday after relieving Tooth of his duties 24 hours earlier in the wake of his side's 2-1 reverse at Buxton on Saturday, their third defeat in a seven game winless run stretching back to a 1-0 victory at Stourbridge on Monday 10 October.

The results, including an early exit from the Buildbase FA Trophy in the first qualifying round at EVO-STIK NPL First Division South Leek Town, have left the Royals fourth from bottom of the EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division table.

Applications, with full details of experience and qualifications, should be submitted by email to: suttoncoldfieldtown@gmail.com.
