Durham City have announced their resignation from the Evo-Stik NPL, effective at the end of the current season.
In a statement on the club’s website, the Citizens confirmed the news, saying, “The FA have also been informed, and the Club awaits their decision as to which league the Club will play in next season.
“In addition, the Club have requested a place in the Northern League. Any decision on this will be made and sanctioned by the FA.”
Durham City joined the Evo-Stik NPL in 2008 after gaining promotion from the Northern League, and spent the 2009/10 season in the Premier Division after winning First Division North at the first attempt.
