Loughborough Dynamo's local MP Nicky Morgan made her first visit to the Nanpantan Sports Ground on Saturday to see them in action after accepting an invitation from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club's officials to meet their fans and players.

The recently appointed Economic Secretary to the Treasury, pictured with Dynamo’s Press & Publicity officer John Bryson and Chairman Frank Fall, right, saw Tommy Brookbank's side take on Romulus and draw 1-1 in First Division South. The 41-year-old MP is a keen sportswoman in her own right. In April she completed her first London Marathon and was invited along to meet many of her constituents as part of the club's Dynamo Juniors Day celebrations.

On Tuesday night she hit the airwaves on BBC Radio Leicester’s Non-League Show to promote Dynamo after her visit during a live interview on the weekly early evening show with presenter Russell Hobbs.

While Dynamo made four news signings this week - centre back Lee Attenborough from neighbours Shepshed Dynamo, centre back Luke Blakely from Stamford AFC, winger Luke Smithson from Carlton Town and forward Jarrod Westcarr from Basford – another new arrival is making an early impact, at least to one player, after officials sent their congratulations to left-back Dan Marshall and his wife Caroline on the birth of their daughter Eve Elizabeth!
