Second-placed Shaw Lane Aquaforce also won by the only goal at home to Belper Town – Adam Priestley the scorer after 33 minutes – and they still have three games in hand on Rangers.

Third-placed Coalville Town were another 1-0 winner at Owen Street against Gresley FC – Nathan Watson with the winner three minutes before the break, as were fourth-placed Basford United at Nottingham rivals Carlton Town, thanks to a Stuart Hendrie effort four minutes from time.

Lincoln United complete the top five but they were held to a goalless draw at the Sir Halley Stewart Field by Spalding United Bottom side Tividale are still alive – just – after losing 2-0 at home to Romulus for whom Malachi Farquharson after 17 minutes and Luke Keen from the spot on 57 minutes were the scorers.
