Lincoln United has teamed up with local business, APSS, who will sponsor the Club’s first team shirts for the 2011 – 2012 season.
APSS are providers of commercial space planning solutions, utilising interior fit outs, mezzanine floors, shelving and racking solutions across the East Midlands and the UK. The company has showrooms in Lincoln, Nottingham and Sheffield.
APSS Managing Director, Darren Crookes, said: “APSS has sponsored a number of teams in recent years and this year we are pleased to support Lincoln United as they embark on their 4-year KICKOFF programme which, hopefully, will see them promoted.”
Lincoln United Commercial Director, Allen Crombie, said: “Securing the sponsorship of our first team shirts is a major element of our commercial programme and we thank Darren and APSS for supporting us in this way. Our commercial team has worked hard to secure funding but we are still looking for other partnerships with local businesses and individuals as we gear up for the new season and, in the longer term, for the rest of our KICKOFF programme. ”
Lincoln United has also added to its first team shirt a tribute to Whites’ former manager, Fred Green. Once a United player and manager, himself, Crombie thinks it is fitting that Fred Green is remembered is this way: “Fred was the driving force behind the Club in his time and helped to make it what it is today. He truly is a Whites’ Legend as it says on the tribute on the back of the shirt.”
