The EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's Seadogs were unveiled as one of the winners at the county's 2016 FA Community Awards on Tuesday after voting closed at the end of March.
The First Division North club are now in the running for national honours from the Football Association after their triumph. Like all county winners in the eight categories that make up the annual awards, a panel of judges featuring 1966 World Cup winner Sir Geoff Hurst will now be considering their merits as they push ahead with plans to return home after playing in exile in Bridlington.
Steve Kittrick's side are looking forward to facing either Marine or Colwyn Bay in the Integro Doodson League Cup Final at Farsley Celtic's Throstle Nest on Friday 29 April.
The Premier Division's Mariners and Seagulls meet in their semi-final at the Marine Travel Arena on Tuesday April 26 before the winners head to Leeds four days later to take on Athletic in the EVO-STIK NPL's showpiece final.
Like last season when Warrington triumphed on spot kicks, if the finalists are level after 90 minutes a penalty shoot-out will decide who lifts the trophy. League officials announced an 8pm kick-off for the fixture last week to give the clubs and their supporters more time to travel.
