Spennymoor Town were already assured of finishing as runners-up to champions Warrington Town and a home tie next week, and it will be against Burscough, while Northwich Victoria`s 2-0 win at Glossop North End sees them paired together again on Wednesday, but with Vics gaining the crucial home advantage.
First half goals from Stuart Cook on 15 minutes with a 20-yard effort and a header by Matt Regan on 35 minutes won it for Vics.
Burscough warmed up for their trip to the Brewery Field with a 3-0 home win over Scarborough Athletic, thanks to Liam Caddick after 34 and 60 minutes, sandwiched by a 54th minute Michael Monaghan effort.
Their opponents, however, suffered a 3-2 home defeat to the champions in front of a crowd of 514.
Steven Gillespie gave the Wire a sixth minute lead that Scott Metcalfe quickly added to two minutes later. Ben Deegan made it 3-0 with only 19 minutes gone on the clock, and a Gavin Cogden brace on 23 and 62 minutes made for a nervy finale.
Lancaster City ensured they weren`t going to be the only side beaten by New Mills this season as goals from Jacob Gregory after 47 minutes and Richie Mercer on 55 minutes condemned the Millers to a 39th league loss.
Elsewhere, Brighouse Town won 3-1 at home to Mossley AFC with second half goals from Kurt Harris, James Hurtley and Daniel Facey after Mike Fish had given the Lilywhites a 14th minute lead.
Not roo far away, Farsley Celtic beat Radcliffe Borough 2-1 at Throstle Nest, thanks to Rob O`Brien after three minutes and Paul Walker after 55 minutes – Elliot Rokka replying seven minutes from time.
Sam Bailey bagged a brace for Kendal Town in their 3-1 Parkside win over second-bottom Harrogate Railway, and Mike Hampson, Dan Brady and Kurt Willoughby were on target for Clitheroe in a 3-2 win at Wincham Park over Witton Albion, whose Tom Owens and Danny Andrews from the penalty spot were on target.
Prescot Cables shared a 1-1 draw at Valerie Park with Bamber Bridge, whose Ali Waddecar gave them a 24th minute lead that Rob Doran levelled seven minutes from time.
And both Ossett sides won. Albion beat Trafford 2-1 at Dimple Wells with goals from Rob Bordman and James Eyles – Dominic Smith for Trafford – and Town won 3-1 at the Butcher`s Arms with Brad Kilner, Danny Frost and Steve Ridley outgunning Droylsden's Dan Parkinson.
