There should have been two in the Premier Division but the clash between third-placed Salford City and Workington AFC was postponed.
That left the early relegation `six-pointer` derby between Stamford AFC and Grantham Town at the Zeeco Stadium. And a crowd of 383 saw the visiting Gingerbreads move five points clear of the drop zone – and ten of the second-bottom Daniels – after a 3-1 success.
New loan signing from Corby Town, Paul Malone, gave Stamford a great start with the opening goal after 10 minutes. But Danny Meadows equalised 14 minutes later and just two minutes into the second half Ben Harris put the visitors in front.
And on 63 minutes Lee Shaw made sure the points went a few miles up the A1 with Grantham`s third.
In the First Division North, Burscough moved into sixth place in the table, four behind fifth-placed Spennymoor Town, after winning 1-0 at Victoria Park against Bamber Bridge, Will Smart scoring the only goal of the game two minutes before the break.
In the First Division South, Spalding United consolidated fourth spot after beating second-placed Coalville Town, also 1-0, at the Sir Halley Stewart Fields. Josh Moreman was the Tulips` hero, his goal coming right on the stroke of half-time.
