Buxton defeated National League North outfit York City 1-0 to progress to the second round of the tournament for the first time since the 1958-59 season.
It was that man again in Diego De Girolamo who scored the only goal of the game in the 85th minute to secure a place in the hat for the next round of the cup competition.
More than 1,000 Buxton fans travelled to the York Community Stadium for the tie, with an official attendance of 3,791.
The second round draw takes place after the Dagenham v Salford match this evening and number 25 is the ball to look for.
