The First Division North club's home will be known as Volair Park next season after Cables agreed a multi-year partnership with Volair, the leisure services provider for Knowsley Council.
Announced on Monday, the deal will see the club and Volair working together in the community on a number of projects. As part of the agreement, the club's first team, reserves and U18s sides will be able to use the Volair Prescot Soccer Centre for training.
Future plans include the staging of junior tournaments, Cables players getting involved in coaching local youngsters and teams playing in the Knowsley Junior Football Development League having the opportunity to be matchday mascots in the EVO-STIK NPL and even play at the ground.
Volair run all the leisure facilities in Knowsley from gyms to swimming pools and delighted club officials say their expertise will be a big help in the coming years. Knowsley Council leader, Councillor Andy Moorhead, Councillor Eddie Connor, Councillor Michael Murphy and Kevin Schofield, Volair's managing director, are pictured at the ground after the announcement.
A club spokesman said: "Prescot Cables are delighted. This ground-breaking deal will see us both working together to benefit the residents of Knowsley as well as working with the local children to encourage them to participate in football activities."
