Evo-Stik Club of the Month Awards - November 2018

By James Gordon

The EVO-STIK League Club of the Month awards for November have been decided.

The Premier Division award goes to Gainsborough Trinity, who ended the month with a fine 2-0 win away at league leaders Scarborough Athletic, and that capped an unbeaten month that saw three wins and two draws.

Back-to-back draws on the road at Stafford Rangers and Marine started the month, before a 4-1 thumping of Whitby Town.

They then beat Bamber Bridge away before turning over the Seadogs - with Ashley Worsfold scoring in four of the five games during the month.

Another club finishing the month on a run of three consecutive wins were Tadcaster Albion, who win the EVO-STIK League East Division Club of the Month.

Taddy have well and truly joined the race to catch runaway leaders Morpeth Town and as of the weekend, sat in third place in the table.

Their month started with a last gasp draw at home to bottom placed AFC Mansfield, before wins away at Belper Town and Spalding United, including another late goal, sandwiched a 3-0 home defeat of Stamford.

It was a terrific month all round for Ramsbottom United, the EVO-STIK League West Division Club of the Month.

New boss Chris Wilcock has led Rammy on a 13 game unbeaten run since his appointment in October, and they secured three successive away wins in the league in November against Skelmersdale, Prescot Cables and Colwyn Bay to lift them in to the play-off places.

It was a busy month as they also played four games in the FA Trophy, successfully navigating replays against Yaxley and Pickering Town to set up a first round date at Workington on Saturday week.

All clubs will be presented with an engraved permanent momento on behalf of the league’s major sponsor, Bostik, at a date to be confirmed.
