Evo-Stik Managers' of the Month - December

The Evo-Stik “Manager of the Month” awards for December have gone to Chester FC’s Neil Young in the Premier Division, Dave Challinor of AFC Fylde in the First Division North whilst Grantham Town’s joint management team of Wayne Hallcro and Jim Albans picked up the First Division South prize.

The top flight award was a very close run thing with Andy Preece’s Northwich Victoria having the same record as Chester FC with three wins and a draw (against each other ironically). All of Northwich’s games, however, had been at home whilst three of Chester’s were on the road and Neil Young’s side also had a slightly better goal difference too.

Dave Challinor was appointed manager of AFC Fylde in November and has wasted no time in putting the club amongst the front runners for promotion with four straight wins during December. He is no stranger to these awards as he picked up the top tier’s Manager of the Month award whilst with Colwyn Bay on more than one occasion last season.

The joint Grantham Town management team of Wayne Hallcro and Jim Albans have been carrying all before them in the First Division South and after lifting the November award they made it a double with the December prize with twelve points from the fifteen contested. Their nearest challengers were Brigg Town who were undefeated in the month but drew two of their five matches to finish with eleven points out of fifteen.

Neil Young will receive his award prior to the Chester FC v Hednesford Town league fixture on the 21st January.

Dave Challinor will receive his award prior to the kick off of the AFC Fylde v Harrogate RA fixture on the 14th January.

Wayne Hallcro & Jim Albans receive their award on the 7th January prior to Grantham Town playing Romulus.
