Ex-Toffees coach takes charge

Farrell, known for helping to develop Wayne Rooney, Victor Anichebe, James Vaughan, Jack Rodwell, Jose Baxter and Ross Barkley among a long list of Premier League stars, decided to get involved after returning to the UK in 2015 after setting up the Tosh Farrell Soccer in the United States five years earlier.

The coach, pictured, was responsible for the Everton partnerships with Everton FC America and the Ontario Soccer Association before leaving the Toffees in 2010 to head to Amesbury near Boston, Massachusetts.

While working abroad, he was twice a guest clinician at the NSCAA, the world's biggest soccer convention, and was also instrumental in setting up an academy for the Indian Football Association. On frequent visits home he was also a regular guests at events like Grassroots Live, the UK's largest football industry and grassroots convention.

The EVO-STIK NPL First Division North club's centre is based at Dallam School and Farrell was introduced to staff and volunteers at the Pye Motors Stadium before the Friday night sessions for U9s to U18s kicked off this week.

Kendal Town chairman George Gudgeon said: "I'm delighted that Tosh wanted to become directly involved with the club after coming to live in the South Lakes. I've got to know Tosh well over the last few months and his considerable experience and undoubted expertise will help propel the club forward."
