FA Cup fourth round qualifying draw

By James Gordon

The four remaining NPL clubs in the FA Cup learn their potential next opponents.

Belper Town's reward for upsetting Rushall Olympic at the weekend is a trip to Notts County, who were the oldest Football League club until their relegation at the end of last season.

Colne face yet another trip to the north east after being paired with Gateshead.

The BetVictor Northern Premier N/West Division side shocked South Shields in the first qualifying round, before winning 3-2 at Dunston on Saturday, having also beaten Garforth Town and Ossett United earlier in the competition.

Nantwich Town's reward for a last minute 1-0 win over league rivals Morpeth Town is a home tie against King's Lynn Town, who beat Warrington Town in last year's super play-off final for promotion to National League North.

And Whitby Town, who are due to travel to Gloucester City for a replay tonight having conceded a penalty deep in to injury time on Saturday, will welcome former NPL club Stourbridge if they can get past their National League North opponents.

The draw for the Emirates FA Cup fourth round qualifying was made on Monday afternoon, live on talkSPORT 2.

With the draw separated into a northern (14 ties) and southern section (18 ties), it was made from talkSPORT's base at the News Building by former BBC commentator John Motson, who claimed to "be more nervous than when I'm commentating" and former Liverpool and Spurs midfielder Danny Murphy, who won the Cup in 2001.

The draw sees the entry of clubs from the National League, with winning clubs progressing into the first round proper and the chance of playing a team from the EFL.
