FA Trophy second and third round draws

By James Gordon

The draw has been made for the second and third round of the FA Trophy.

There are 13 Northern Premier League sides still in the competition, following Tuesday night’s action, which saw Marske United and City of Liverpool cause upsets against Premier Division sides Warrington Town and Buxton.

At least one NPL club will make it through to the third round, with Nantwich Town paired against the winner of Witton Albion and Bamber Bridge, who will play their first round tie on Saturday after it was postponed on Tuesday night.

Kidsgrove and Stamford will also try again on Saturday after their match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, with the winner at home to Kidderminster Harriers in the second round. If they can beat Kidderminster, they will then receive a bye through to the fourth round following the withdrawal of Macclesfield Town.

Second round games must be played on Tuesday December 15 (7.45pm). Clubs can play on Saturday 12 or Sunday 13 December if both clubs are in agreement.
