Fair play kings win civic approval

Jungledrum Fair Play Awards

The Jungledrum Fair Play Awards have won civic backing after the Mayor of King’s Lynn turned out to stand alongside Linnets manager Gary Setchell for the presentation of the monthly honours.

Nearly 800 fans were at The Walks with Councillor Geoffrey Wareham, Mayor of King’s Lynn and West, to see the Linnets rewarded for their impeccable behaviour on the pitch before their 1-0 victory over Northwich Victoria.

Jungledrum’s David Lunn is pictured presenting Linnets Chairman Keith Chapman with the club’s framed certificate marking their achievement while League Representative Alan Ogley hands over a bottle of Famous Grouse Whiskey to Setchell who is standing alongside the town’s Mayor and League Representative Mark Ogley.

Kings Lynn Town were the last of the September Jungledrum Fair Play winners to be honoured after Clitheroe scooped the Evo-Stik NPL First Division North award and Nantwich took the laurels in the Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division.

The three clubs led their respective division's fair play tables, coming out on top after a totting up of red and yellow cards divided by the number of Evo-Stik NPL fixtures they’d played during August and September.

In Evo-Stik NPL First Division South Kings Lynn Town won with a card count rating of 0.57. Clitheroe can lay claim to be the league's best behaved outfit after winning with a score of 0.50, the lowest of the three sides. Nantwich topped their table with just 0.89.

Like Setchell, Nantwich manager Jimmy Quinn and Clitheroe’s Paul Moore also won a bottle of Famous Grouse Whiskey and an inscribed Jungledrum certificate recording their achievements.

The awards were made after the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League entered into a three year agreement with Jungledrum in August to reinforce the league’s reputation as one of the most forward thinking in English football by supporting fair play and the Football Association’s ongoing Respect campaign.

Marketing and advertising specialists Jungledrum harness their online expertise to open new income streams for the league's clubs while securing fans money saving deals.

Jungledrum's David Lunn is delighted that the first awards of the campaign have been handed out after the sponsors starting work this season helping clubs to boost their finances.

He said: "The team at Jungledrum are delighted to sponsor these awards. Jungledrum is all about delivering a fair deal for fans, for clubs and for businesses so helping to promote fair play among players and clubs by sponsoring the league’s fair play awards is another fantastic opportunity for us.

"Every club in the league now has its own Jungledrum page and, as the season progresses, we will be working with every club to bring more fantastic offers and promotions to supporters and give a boost to local businesses and the clubs themselves."

The Jungledrum Fair Play Tables will soon be available throughout the season via a hyperlinked logo on the league's official site. For more information on Jungledrum and the work they are doing to open new and no risk income streams for Evo-Stik NPL clubs visit jungledrumdeals.co.uk.
