Fair Play Winners - February

The Fair Play awards for February have gone to FC UNITED of MANCHESTER, DURHAM CITY and ILKESTON FC respectively. Each club will receive a 1.5 litre bottle of Famous Grouse Whiskey as the monthly award.

In the Premier Division FC United incurred just two cautions in four games during the month which has seen them move up in to fourth place in the season to date tables. The first three places are occupied by Whitby Town just ahead of Ashton United and Stocksbridge who are tied for second spot. The last two mentioned clubs both had to pay visits to the FA last season regarding their poor disciplinary records but have both improved significantly this term to show that if there is a will there is a way.

Durham City had just one caution in five matches to take the First Division North accolade but Lancaster City continue to lead the season to date tables in their attempt to land a hat-trick of successes in the League’s Fair Play table which would be a phenomenal achievement.

Ilkeston FC picked up two cautions in five games during February and are now fifth in the season to date table which is still led by Leek Town who are well clear of Brigg Town and Quorn. Indeed Leek have the best record of any club in the entire League despite picking up their first dismissal of the season in February.

FC United of Manchester will be presented with their award prior to the Stocksbridge Park Steels home fixture on the 10th March. Durham City presentation will be on Tuesday 6th March prior to their friendly versus Darlington. Ilkeston FC will receive their whiskey also on Saturday 10th March prior to their home league fixture versus Rainworth Miners Welfare.
