The fans, players and officials of EVO-STIK NPL newcomers Rugby Town will be the first to enjoy the benefits at the Leicestershire ground on the the opening day of the First Division South campaign after Dynamo announced on Monday that they'd completed a major renovation of their clubhouse and public areas.
Club directors Ian Beech and Darren Rodgers took the lead on the project which was finished in time for the new season with the help of volunteers despite the best efforts of thieves and vandals who raided the ground soon after work got underway leaving a trail of damage.
Dynamo press officer John Bryson said: "I don’t think I am talking out of turn when I say that the clubhouse had a tired look and was in urgent need of refurbishment.
"What did cause delay and problems was the break-in, just as the renovation of the clubhouse had started.
"I saw it wasn’t just the theft that caused difficulties but what had been damaged, so it is great news that we are ready for new season and we can't wait to get going now!"
Thanking the volunteers who helped on behalf of Beech and Rodgers, he added: "Darren and Ian wish to convey their thanks to all who contributed to the upgrade of the clubhouse."
