Fans input excites Hawkins

Eastwood Town's new joint manager Nick Hawkins is looking forward to outlining the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club's plans to bounce back from relegation to supporters at a fans forum on Thursday night.

Hawkins, pictured, agreed to quit his post as South Normanton Athletic manager last month to team up with Chris Shaw and insists the close season won't hold up their work rebuilding the squad after they hear the views of supporters and explain their own plans to perpare for next season after losing their Premier Division status.

He said: "I'm excited to listen to the fans, to hear the thoughts and views of the local people of Eastwood and to share our plans for next season, how we plan to take the club forward and provide stability. It's the end of the season for most people but the work has just started for us on rebuilding a squad so it is strong enough to compete at this level."

Taking place at the relegated Premier Division club's Coronation Park's at 7pm, the Badgers say the bar will be open for an informal event that will see Hawkins, joint manager Chris Shaw and Vice-Chairman Steve Peat taking part in a question and answer session with supporters.
