The nominees are...

The shortlist of nominees for Fans' Player of the Year have been decided by the panel of the "Northern Premier League" group on Facebook.

After open nominations from fans closed on Friday evening, the panel discussed the merits of all of the nominees, before deciding on the final shortlist.

They will now make a decision on the winner of the award, which will be announced and presented with his award at the Player of the Year awards.

The shortlist is as follows;

Mark Beesley (Hednesford Town)
Although currently a Pitman, Beesley has been recognised by fans for his efforts at Burscough, for whom he played until last month. After signing for his hometown club at the start of the season, Beesley was a shining light during tough times at the Linnets, scoring 13 league goals in a side that sit at the foot of the table

Nick Culkin (Radcliffe Borough)
After being effectively dragged out of retirement by Boro in 2010, Culkin has become a true cult hero at Stainton Park. The former Manchester United shot-stopper has built up a reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in the Evo-Stik NPL, often keeping his side in games single-handedly.

Cheyenne Dunkley (Hednesford Town)
A 20th birthday present for the talented defender. Since signing for the Pitmen following his release from Crewe Alexandra in 2010, Dunkley has earned rave reviews for his performances at Keys Park, taking a key role in the side following the departure of Perdo Monteiro.

Alex Titchiner (Witton Albion)
Another former Crewe youngster, Titchiner joined Witton Albion permanently after a loan spell last season. The 20-year old has been a key factor in the club's play-off push this season, netting 14 league goals and laying on countless others for team-mates.

Ruben Wiggins-Thomas (Carlton Town)
The 18-goal forward has flourished this season in an attack-minded Carlton Town side that top the NPL goalscoring charts. Better known as a winger than a striker, RWT has left First Division South defences in his wake, firing the Nottinghamshire club to the top of the table.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the voting process.
