FC United sign seven

FC United announced a revamp to their squad as seven new signings have been revealed.

With the help of Crowdfunder, FC United Manager Neil Reynolds has confirmed the signings of seven new players in order to resolve their current injury crisis.

Ahead of their fixture tonight against Matlock Town, Reynolds can now field a fresh line-up to face the side sitting in 7th, in hopes of climbing the table.

The first of Reynolds’ signings is 22-year-old Mwiya Malumo, joining Broadhurst Park from Farsley Celtic. The forward made an appearance off the bench in the 1-0 loss to Hyde United and will look to make his way into the starting squad.

Brayden Shaw has joined the club from AFC Telford. The 25-year-old midfielder has proven experience in the NPL Premier Division and will definitely bolster Reynolds’ midfield, with eight appearances for Telford last season.

21-year-old winger Dontai Gabidon has also signed for FC United from West Disbury and Chorlton. Last season he scored four goals in eight games for the NWC Premier side and could be a real threat if he is selected for this evening’s match.

Two more forwards have been signed by the club, including 19-year-old Will Russ, a player coming from Fleetwood’s Under 21’s. The prolific centre-forward scored 16 goals in 43 games for Leicester’s U18’s side and could prove to be a promising signing for FC United.

Joe Rodwell-Grant is the other attacker coming in on loan. The 19-year-old has been brought in from Wigan Athletic and will be aiming to get more game time during his spell at the club.

18-year-old Tavonga Kuleya and 19-year-old Jack Degruchy are the final signings for FC, both joining the club on loan from Doncaster Rovers. The two youngsters have made senior appearances for Rovers, both are exciting prospects to be used in FC’s upcoming fixtures.
