Festive fixture for cup final legend!

Highbury hero Charlie George is looking forward to celebrating Christmas with fans of EVO-STIK League Northern Premier League Mickleover Sports.

Now 66, the Arsenal legend has been booked as the guest speaker for the club's Christmas dinner on Wednesday 7 December.

Born in Islington and a local lad, the attacking midfielder and forward scored 49 goals in 179 appearances for his beloved Arsenal before going on to play for a number of clubs including Derby County, Southampton and Nottingham Forest.

Capped once by England, George will always be remembered for his stunning 20-yard drive in Arsenal's 2-1 win over Liverpool in the 1971 FA Cup final, his extra-time goal sealing a famous double for the Gunners.
