He returned to the Pitching In NPL East Division side in October last year.
He had previously scored four goals in 17 appearances for the Railwaymen between 2018-2020 before joining Newton Aycliffe.
On the new deal, Shildon manager Chris Hughes said: “We are delighted that Ben has committed to Shildon for the remainder of this season and next.
“Since joining us, he has become an important part of how we play. He has contributed with goals and assists from his position, wide or centrally.
“His role out of possession is also key and can often go unnoticed by some. Ben is the kind of player we will continue to look to recruit.
"He plays for the team, works really hard, is tactically aware and is very capable on the ball.”
