By James Gordon

The winners of the BetVictor Northern Premier Club of the Month for December have been revealed.

FC United have been recognised for a stellar month that propelled them in to title contention in the Premier Division.

The Reds won all four of their games in December, including an FA Trophy victory over Kettering Town.

They hit five past Matlock and four past Grantham in wins, as well as beating Ashton United.

The league’s top goalscorer, Tunde Owolabi, scored seven goals in four games in the month.

In the S/East Division, new leaders Leek won five from five in December.

They started the month with an Integro League Cup win at Runcorn, and followed that up with away wins at Carlton and Glossop, plus home wins against Frickley and Wisbech - all without conceding the goal.

In the N/West Division, Workington also registered five wins from five - scoring four in four of those wins.

They won 4-2 at Ossett United and then 4-0 at home to Prescot Cables, with all four goals coming in the final 20 minutes.

Progression in the Integro League Cup followed with a win over Mossley, before victories against Pickering and Dunston (both 4-1).

Scott Allison scored six goals in the month.

Winners will be presented with an engraved memento and 1ltr bottle of spirit to mark the award.
