Having been tasked with rebuilding Celtic under the ownership of Nigel Jones and Paul Bowden following his appointment at the start of June, his new-look side have made a strong start to life in the Pitching In NPL West Division, picking up 14 points from a possible 21.
The recent 4-0 thrashing of Witton Albion saw them climb up to second in the league table, four points behind unbeaten league leaders Kidsgrove Athletic.
After agreeing the new deal, Kinsey said: “We’ve had an unbelievable start and I’m enjoying football more than ever.
“It’s a club that is going in the right direction, and everybody here makes life so easy.
”We’ve got a lot of work to do, and we want to continue that. The fans have been unbelievable and I hope this outlines both mine and the club’s intent to make this project a success.”
Stalybridge chairman Nigel Jones said: “I am delighted to announce that Stalybridge Celtic FC have secured a new long-term contract with first team manager James Kinsey.
“As a club, we were under no illusion that we were starting this season with a brand new squad of players and a much reduced off-season due to events off the field.
“In spite of all of this, it is clear that under James’s leadership, we have built a squad consisting of both talent and togetherness. A push for promotion is now very much on top of our agenda.
“James has also built a fantastic rapport with the fans, and this mutual support is great to observe.
“In our view, the securing of James’s future with the Club helps increase stability and is a key piece of our long-term project to push the club forward."
