AFC Mansfield, Morpeth Town, Pickering Town, Widnes and Wisbech Town are all in competitive action in the Emirates FA Cup's extra-preliminary round on Saturday after winning promotion to the Northern Premier League from Step 5.
And thanks to changes to the world's oldest cup competition this season by the Football Association, North West Counties Football League champions Runcorn Linnets are also in Emirates FA Cup action in a 3pm kick-off at Hallam on Sunday.
The Emirates FA Cup is back with a bang as the 2018-19 season kicks-off across the country with the 138th edition of the world’s original cup competition. Over 1.8 million supporters watched over 11,000 players in action during last season’s campaign with 184 extra preliminary round ties scheduled.
All 368 clubs at the competition's earliest stage are guaranteed a payment, regardless of their result, with the competition prize fund doubled to over £30.2m, including £4m guaranteed to be distributed to Non-League clubs. While winning clubs last season collected £1,500 from the prize fund and the losers nothing, this weekend's winners will get £2,250 and the losing clubs £750.
Fans can log on to any of the EVO-STIK League's social media channels on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Vole for the latest live updates before heading to the results pages from 4.45pm onwards as the final scores come in for a full classified results service.
