Two goals in the last eight minutes of the first half from Callum Woodward and substitute Aaron Woodward helped Coalville complete an impressive `double` over Daventry after Alex Troke had given them a 27th minute lead from the penalty spot.
Things got worse for Daventry when striker Scott Cross was given a straight red card for a foul on Callam Woodward after 39 minutes, forcing them to play with ten-men for almost 50 minutes. Despite that, they did manage to score the only goal of the second half in stoppage time through Edilson Panzo-Antonio.
Shaw Lane Aquaforce remain three points behind the Ravens but have four games in hand after a 4-2 home win over mid-table Gresley FC.
On-loan striker James Walshaw gave Shaw Lane a 10th minute lead that Lee Bennett doubled 10 minutes later. An own goal by Jamie Barrett put the home side three-up just before the half-hour mark and seconds later it was game over when Gavin Allott added a fourth.
The Moatmen did manager to reduce the arrears by two in the second period, thanks to Albert Landsdowne and Martin Smyth.
Third-bottom Goole AFC hosted fourth-bottom Carlton Town at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds and fans saw Daniel Gordon strike nine minutes from time to earn the visitors three precious points with a 1-0 win.
