Fleetwood defender joins Macclesfield

Macclesfield have announced the signing of Drew Baker from Fleetwood Town.
The 21-year-old centre-back featured heavily for FC United of Manchester during the 2021/22, making 23 appearances in total.
A former Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Oldham Athletic youth player, he joined Fleetwood Town in January 2022.
Baker made his professional debut in the Cod Army’s 1-0 defeat to Everton in the EFL Cup second round.
The young defender has also spent time on loan at League of Ireland Premier Division clubs Bohemian FC and Waterford FC.
Baker will go into contention to make his debut for the Silkmen in their next match at home to Lancaster in the Northern Premier League on Saturday.
