Reporting to the Director of Football, the Football Secretary is responsible for advising the Board of Directors and club officials on all football matters.
Whilst the role is primarily concerned with the first team the successful applicant will also be expected to provide support to the youth and development squads.
The role is unpaid but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. The role will take up to 20 hours per week so the successful applicant will need the capacity to commit to this challenging position.
The Football Secretary will need to communicate with the FA, League and County FA to ensure compliance with rules, deadlines and regulations. Applicants will need excellent communication skills and be organised to be able to juggle a wide variety of tasks from preparing player documentation in all its many areas through to match day reporting and entering and administrating competitions.
Ideally we are looking for someone with experience in this role and knowledge of football at Step 4 and upwards but will also consider and welcome applications from people with the necessary skill sets to be able to receive training and get up and running quickly.
In the first instance all applications should be made by email to the director of football Andy Fearn at email@example.com
This vacancy results from current football secretary Peter Lowe standing down after six years with the club due to family and professional commitments.
We would like to publicly thank Peter for the huge efforts he has made to drive the club forward with his professionalism, knowledge and hard work. His enthusiasm for the game and experience have been invaluable and it has been a pleasure to work with him. All at the club wish him and his family all the very best for the future."
