Former Liverpool striker joins Prescot Cables

Prescot Cables have announced the signing of Fidel O'Rourke.

O'Rourke, 22, came through Liverpool's Academy and went on to feature for their U18s, U21s and U23s.

The young forward was a part of their FA Youth Cup-winning squad in 2019.

In 2022, he enjoyed a loan spell at Welsh Premier League outfit Caernarfon Town, where he netted seven times in 10 appearances.

O'Rourke then joined National League side FC Halifax Town in February 2023 and went on to make 10 appearances, being a part of the squad that claimed the FA Trophy at Wembley Stadium after a 1-0 win over Gateshead.

He will be eligible to make his debut for Cables in their home fixture against Bootle in the Liverpool County FA Senior Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday night.
