Four deadline day signings at Hyde

Hyde United have bolstered their squad with four new signings as they head towards the business end of the season.

AJ Leitch Smith, 33 has joined on loan from Warrington Rylands where he made nine appearances and scored twice.

The 33-year-old forward boasts over 200 Football League appearances with the likes of Crew, Port Vale and Morecambe.

He also has featured for Nantwich Town this campaign, making 16 appearances for the Dabbers.

Accompanying him to the Project Solar Stadium is Craig Carney who joins from Colne, where he had been player coach.

Carney, 26, scored against Hyde United earlier in the season when the two sides met in the FA Trophy.

Carney is well versed at Step 3, having featured for NPL clubs Lancaster, Marine, FC United, Warrington Town, Matlock and Bamber Bridge.

Nick Spooner has reinforced his attacking options with the signing of Fuad Kasali.

The 19-year-old has been promoted from the club's Under 21's after impressing in Hyde United's youth setup.

Kasali began his career at Manchester Central, before moving to North West Countries side Atherton LR.

The final signing is goalkeeper Jack Atkinson, who makes the move from AFC Bury.

Atkinson, 22, joins the club as cover for Dan Atherton. The young 'keeper has featured for Halifax, Alfreton Town prior to his move to Bury AFC.
