Four into three go into draw!

The EVO-STIK NPL's Gladiators, the only side already through to the last 32 after winning 2-1 at Solihull Moors on Saturday and knocking out holders FC Halifax in the previous round, will travel to either Harrogate Town or Barrow in the second round on Saturday 14 January.

After drawing 1-1 with Chester at Wincham Park on Saturday, EVO-STIK NPL First Division South Witton Albion were rewarded with a home tie against either Forest Green Rovers or Truro City if they can win their replay at Chester on Tuesday night.

Either Nantwich Town or Shaw Lane AFC, awaiting the results of an appeal to the Football Association not to expel the latter from the competition for playing an ineligible player when the clubs met in a 3-1 third qualifying round win for the Ducks, still have to host Lincoln City in the first round proper to reach the latter stages of the competition in 2017 and travel to National League Gateshead.

As well as place in the third round, winning clubs bank £6,000 in prize money to add to the £5,000 first round winners collect.
