Free entry to Droylsden game on Tuesday

By James Gordon

Droylsden have announced their re-arranged fixture with Glossop North End on Tuesday night will be free admission for all.

The EVO-STIK League West Division match was abandoned due to floodlight failure earlier in the season.

A club statement said: "With the leagues permission we have made this rearranged fixture on Tuesday 5th March free admission for all this in a small way sends our apologies to the supporters who attended the original tie which was abandoned after a floodlight failure early in the second half.

"(It) will also hopefully attract a few more who may have not attended an EVO-STIK League fixture before, this way they may get a taste of what we already know, that this is a fantastic and competitive league which is affordable for all the family in comparison to league football, all welcome whether you were at the original fixture or not."

The game kicks off at 7.45pm at the Butcher's Arms Ground on Tuesday night.
