Fundraising fan backed by Royals

EVO-STIK League Sutton Coldfield Town are backing a fan's charity run for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

The Royals are using their Twitter account @SCTFC to urge fans to have a look at the online fundraising page of season ticket holder Jon Davies who is in training for the Birmingham International Marathon on Sunday 15 October.

A Welsh supporter who also supports Cardiff City when not at Coles Lane, the operations manager is hoping to raise £1,000 for the hospital with his friend Scott Banks. Together they are running the marathon in memory of Robert Williamson who was treated at the hospital during his childhood and as a young adult before sadly passing away last year.

In the story on their JustGiving page, the pair say they running because of the "brilliant work carried out everyday by all the doctors and nurses" and wanted to say "a massive thank you to Birmingham Children's Hospital for all their support and care, not just for Robert but for all children".
