Gallagher telling tales on night off

Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher is taking a night off as a Sky Sports pundit to entertain fans at EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Loughborough Dynamo.

Dublin-born Gallagher is heading to the EVO-STIK NPL First Division South club's Nanpantan Sports Ground on Thursday 9 February for the fundraising event which includes an auction of football memorabilia.

Tickets to hear the 59-year-old former FIFA listed match official and analyst look back on his long career since first taking up the whistle back in 1978 and see him give his thoughts on the current state of the game are priced at £20 and include a curry meal.

Now a regular contributor to Sky Sports News and active public speaker with no shortage of tales, Gallagher refereed games in the old Football League from 1990 to 1992 and in the Premier League from 1992 until his retirement in 2007. He was on the FIFA International Referees list from 1994 until 2002 while taking charge of the 1995 Charity Shield and the 1996 FA Cup Final.
