Game on at all bar three fixtures!

By David Watters

All bar three of Tuesday night's matches were set to go ahead after volunteers and officials ensured it was game on for EVO-STIK League's clubs as they play fixture catch-up.

As the highest ground in the country, Buxton's Silverlands was always going to struggle to get over the weekend's mini 'Beast from the East' with their clash against Ashton United called off by lunchtime.

In EVO-STIK League South, Gresley FC versus Spalding United and Stocksbridge Park Steels at home to Bedworth United also fell victim to snow covered pitches but 15 fixtures were fit to play as clubs bid to make up for lost ground after the snow, ice and waterlogged pitches of recent weeks.
