Gent's return is perfect timing

Carlton Town

Carlton Town have resigned midfielder Dean Gent from United Counties outfit Quorn in time for their Christmas Saturday clash at home to King's Lynn Town.

Gent left in the summer of 2010 to follow then manager Tommy Brookbanks to Hucknall Town and later the United Counties League's Quorn.

He also left the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South Millers previously for a short spell at Conference North Harrogate Town and has scored some important goals for the club, including the strike securing promotion from the Northern Counties East League.

His arrival at the Bill Stokeld Stadium as a Christmas signing by manager Les McJanet follows the return of another former player Martin Ball who came back last week.

Adam Kimberley and Joe Naylor have both left the club. Kimberley has joined a sizeable collection of ex-Millers at Rainworth Miners Welfare and Naylor has joined AFC Mansfield.
