Glossop secure first ever stadium sponsor

Their Surrey Street home will now be known as The Amdec Forklift Stadium.

It’s the first time that a local brand has taken on the sponsorship of GNE's stadium, and represents a big sign of the Hillmen moving forward in its infrastructure and connections within the local community. Amdec's focus is on gaining increased exposure within Glossop & the surrounding areas as well as building a commitment to local sports institutions.

Amdec Forklifts Sales Director, Mark Clare said: “Amdec forklifts are proud to be the new Stadium sponsor at Glossop North End. We are a local company and we like supporting the local community.”

GNE Football Secretary, Dan Bates said: “This is absolutely great news and comes at a great time to provide a little buzz for the fans going into the new season. By working collectively with Amdec, we become much more of an attractive commercial and media proposition. We are all striving to professionalise the club's profile and this sponsorship takes things to a new level.”

The first visitors to the newly-named Amdec Forklift Stadium will be Football League side Oldham Athletic, for a friendly on Tuesday night.
