Hadland confirmed as new boss

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Colwyn Bay have named Phil Hadland as their new manager.

Officials at Llanelian Road moved to end continuing speculation over their managerial hot-seat on Friday by confirming the permanent appointment of their interim boss, pictured, before hosting fourth from bottom Mossley on Saturday and bidding to end a five match winless run.

The Seagulls are urging fans at the EVO-STIK NPL First Division North club to get behind Hadland, pictured, and director of football Dave Hughes who will double up as assistant manager alongside ex-Warrington Town coach Rick Ward.

Hadland and Hughes have signed 18 month contracts to turn around the club's fortunes after the Seagulls started the season targeting promotion after suffering successive relegations.

A spokesman said: "This should help bring some stability after a difficult period following the departure of Paul Moore and the club hope the supporters will now get fully behind the new management team as they bid to restore the team’s fortunes."

Former assistant manager Hadland took charge following the exit of former Clitheroe, Leek Town, Kidsgrove Athletic and Warrington Town boss Paul Moore three weeks ago after eight months at the helm as the successor to Kevin Lynch.
