Hardiker quits Wire for Wales

Warrington Town have parted company with experienced defender John Hardiker who's moved to Welsh Premier oufit GAP Connah's Quay.

Hardiker, 30, switched to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North club in December from Northwich Victoria where he was skipper.

He joins the Welsh outfit after illness and postponements meant he failed to make an appearance in the Wire's colours under manager Shaun Reid.

A former Football League player with Morecambe, Stockport County and Bury, he also enjoyed lengthy spells with Forest Green Rovers and Stalybridge Celtic.
