Hatters duo head home on loan

Warrington Town have signed Stockport County youngsters Ben Say and Andy Graham on loan.

The teenagers, who both hail from Warrington, have joined their home town club for a month in Evo-Stik NPL First Division North and Wire manager Shaun Reid hopes the deal kicks off a new partnership with the Conference Premier Hatters.

Midfielder Graham has already spent a month with Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division Kendal Town earlier this season. Say, 19, is a right-back and Warrington's manager is delighted with the duo's arrival.

Reid said: "This is a another positive move for us to have two young full time professionals join us and hopefully it will be the start of a good working relationship with our friends at Stockport.

"The fact that they are both Warrington based lads makes it that little bit extra special and it is pleasing that they chose us above other Non-League clubs to gain some match time experience."

Warrington say the players come highly recommended by Stockport manager Jim Gannon, who's told the Wire he's keen for his youngsters to gain some match time experience.

Neither player is available for Tuesday night's Cheshire Cup clash at home to Runcorn Town but could be in Saturday's squad for the trip to Garforth.
