Hebburn move for Whitby midfielder

Hebburn Town have signed Jake Hackett from Whitby Town on loan.

The 22-year-old will make the journey north west up the coast to link up with Daniel Moore's side.

Hackett, who came through the ranks at Sunderland, has featured 19 times for the Seasiders this season after completing a permanent move to the East coast outfit in August 2021.

The Hornets currently sit in fifth place in the Pitching In Northern Premier League East Division.

Moore is excited by the prospect of his new signing saying, "We’ve known about him for a couple of years.

"He was at Sunderland so has a good background and a good appetite.

"He played all of last season in the league above and has a desire to get more minutes so this move suits all parties."

Hackett will go into contention for Hebburn Town's next fixture away at Bridlington Town on Saturday.
