Hebburn Town announce second summer signing

Briggs scored six goals for Ashington last season, as they secured promotion to the Northern Premier League after winning their inter-step play-off against Glossop North End.

He is the second new signing to join the club ahead of the new season. England Universities captain Aidan Heywood has already signed a few days ago.

“I'm delighted to join the club," Briggs commented.

"As soon as the manager got in touch, it was something I was interested in.

"With how the club performed last year, it's exciting to be a part of and hopefully we can get promotion this year.

"It's a great set up with the bar and the pitch - I'm really impressed and can't wait to get started."
