Manager Shaun Reid puts squad through their paces.

WARRINGTON Town face a hectic start to pre-season as manager Shaun Read puts his players through their paces with three games in a week, starting with Blue Square Bet outfit Barrow at Cantilever Park on Monday night, kick off 7.30pm.

With an initial squad of more than 30 players taking part in pre-season training, Town will also be playing Formby FC from the North West Counties at Cantilever Park the following night.

Then on Thursday (July 19) Warrington will face their biggest test when Stoke City from the Premier League will be visiting Cantilever Park.

Shaun has been busy putting the players through their paces at the new Orford Park Jubilee Hub training facility, with his brother, former England and Everton legend Peter Reid, lending a helping hand.

The £30 million Orford Park Olympic legacy facility, managed by a new community interest company Live Wire, has become the club’s full-time training facility.

Shaun said: “It is a credit to the club that they have secured a top notch training facility which would be the envy of many football league clubs.

“Our aim is to have one of the fittest teams in the league this season and our goal from day one is promotion.”
