Henry departs Dolly Blues

Rob Henry has left Lancaster City to seek playing opportunities elsewhere.

Henry, 30, was player-coach for the Dolly Blues, playing 290 games for the club in total.

Manager Mark Fell said: “Me and Rob have had a few chats this week regarding the dual role at the club and how we both see that moving forward, at this point Rob wants to be playing more than he has been and this decision allows him to seek more opportunities to play regularly.

“I’d like to place on record my thanks to Rob for all his hard work at the club, not just in this period but over the years, we wish him all the best for the future. I’ll explore what options there are out there in regards to appointing a new 1st team coach in the next week.”

Henry followed Fell from Ramsbottom back in October.
